Cost Management
Cost planning, procurement advice and contractual solutions
Our Approach:
We provide a complete Cost Consultancy service through RIBA Stages 1-6
The project may start with an options study or a high-level site appraisal. As the options are refined, we will work closely with the client and design team to develop cost estimates and then prepare a detailed elemental cost plan
Once the design information is developed, we will advise on the appropriate procurement process, manage the selection of contractors and provide analysis of the tenders received
On site we will manage all the financial aspects related to the contract, providing regular financial reporting to our clients to ensure that projects are delivered as anticipated and on budget
We work with developers, private clients and local authorities alike and familiar with the different ways in which these projects are delivered and that there is no one “one size fits all” approach
Our objectives are:
To determine the clients’ requirements at the earliest stage
To provide robust cost planning by using the latest published benchmark pricing data as well as our own internal database information
To ensure that our clients are always provided with clear options and our professional recommendations
To deliver the project within the clients’ budget aspirations whilst not compromising quality or design standards
To work closely with our design team partners to ensure that the design evolves within the clients’ cost parameters. This process will continue until the works are successfully completed on site
We can provide project monitoring on behalf of a funder or purchaser as a separate standalone service:
This service will be undertaken by a Senior Chartered Quantity Surveyor experienced in this field
Our service will typically include a Due Diligence Initial Audit at the outset and verification of the financial drawdown facility during the construction phase
