Paul Bennett
MRICS
Director
Paul is the founder at Ravenslade and a Chartered Project Management Surveyor with:
A technical background in Building Surveying and Architectural Design
30 years property and construction experience with consulting and contracting organisations,
16 years client side experience working at Director level for leading regional property development companies.
Specialist skill sets in the commercial property, education, healthcare and residential sectors
Paul will be involved at the initiation and early stages of projects and will continue to oversee the project resourcing and maintain client contact throughout the whole project cycle to support the Ravenslade team.
When not working, Paul is a keen follower of Exeter Chiefs and F1 along with holidaying in beautiful Italy being a favourite destination and spending time with his grown up family and their children.
Paul and his wife Louise have two young energetic Bearded Collies to spend time with on walking holidays in favoured destinations such as Snowdonia, Scotland and Brecon Beacons.
Pete Rice
MRICS
Director/Quantity Surveyor
Pete joined Ravenslade in 2016 and is Director and Chartered Quantity Surveyor. Pete has:
20+ years construction experience with consulting and contracting organisations
20+ years construction experience with consulting and contracting organisations
15+ years working on public sector projects including schools, libraries, community buildings
10+ years working with commercial developers at developments in Cullompton, Crediton, Bridgwater and Weston-Super-Mare
Pete will lead on:
Early stage project appraisals/master planning and funding bid preparation
Cost planning, value engineering, tender analysis,
Strategic advice on procurement and contractor selection
Development fund monitoring
When not working, Pete enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring the beautiful beaches and countryside of Devon and Cornwall. Pete loves football and will confess to being a bit of a Liverpool fan! Pete also enjoys rugby and especially watching his eldest battling it out for the Exeter Saracens on a weekend.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
Claire is a Senior Project Manager and Employer’s Agent with over 20 years of experience across a diverse range of sectors, including commercial, education, leisure, residential, and healthcare. She has a proven track record in overseeing complex construction projects, from initial concept through to successful delivery, covering new builds, extensions, refurbishments, upgrades, and remodelling.
Key skills include:
Leading the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring full compliance with project scope, timelines, and budget. Claire excels in identifying risks early and taking proactive measures to keep projects on track.
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, Claire builds and maintains strong relationships, ensuring seamless communication and alignment with stakeholder expectations.
A steadfast commitment to delivering exceptional client satisfaction, with a focus on quality, reliability, and attention to detail.
Outside of work, Claire is passionate about travel and is always planning her next adventure. She’s also an avid birdwatcher, often found exploring Devon’s marshes and heathlands, with binoculars and birdseed in hand !
Rob is a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with over 35 years’ experience working for both consultants and main contractors a like. He has worked on all stages of the construction process from Pre-Construction, Site Works and Final Accounts.
Rob has also spent many years working in main contractors’ pre-construction and estimating departments and has an in depth knowledge of estimating practices and costs. He holds the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and is a Chartered Construction Manager.
Robs core skills include:
Pre-construction cost planning.
Preparation of tenders and evaluation of returns through to contract award.
Financial control of on-site works
When not working Rob is either playing the guitar, being “beaten up” by his Grandchildren or planning his next trip to the sun with his wife.
Paul Belcher

Senior Building Surveyor
Paul is a highly experienced Building Surveyor with around 30 years of experience and:
A varied career starting in Structural Detailing and progressing to Building Surveying
A wide range of sector experience including education, public sector, social housing, MOD, commercial, utilities and healthcare
Extensive design and management experience across new-build, refurbishment and maintenance projects
Responsibility at all budgetary levels, including million-pound plus projects.
Paul will be the main liaison between Ravenslade and their clients, working collaboratively to ensure the design and delivery align to meet the desired objectives, focusing on attention to detail and continued operational excellence.
Paul is married with three children. He spends his weekends playing hockey with a local team, exploring Devon’s beaches and finding new places to sample local seafood.
