Digital Village
City College Plymouth commissioned the re-modelling of their existing library space on the Main Kings Road Campus.
The works transformed a tired and outdated library into a vibrant and digitally advanced space to welcome students to a bright new learning area and was completed in August 2021 in line with the start of the new academic year for the further education sector.
The comprehensive refurbishment works included a new comfort cooling system, new ceilings, floor finishes and bespoke reception joinery where students could now learn and study in a comfortable environment.
This c £200k value project was managed in tandem with Pinpoint, the city centre project for City College Plymouth. The same design team and contractor were appointed to achieve economies in terms of both programme and financials.
The demanding time schedule and budget expectations set by the client at the outset were fully met which is testament to the hard work of the Principal Contractor Obedair and the design team of ADG Architects, Oatway Design [MEP] and Airey & Coles in collaboration with the client.
