Broad Street is a new build project situated in the town centre of Modbury and within a South Hams Conservation Area.

The development occupies a prominent corner site which has been sensitively designed by Harrison Sutton Partnership to fit seamlessly into the existing streetscape.

The scheme is mixed use consisting of 7 affordable apartments, 3 open market three bedroom homes and a retail unit which were successfully completed for Tor Homes and Plymouth and Devon Co-operative Society.

The development was classed as a brownfield site because it was previously used as a commercial garage for bus and coach storage.

Construction works followed demolition of the existing buildings and a careful decontamination programme to remove buried fuel tanks and a successful cleaning up operation of the soil conditions.
