Bradley Lane, Newton Abbot
As part of the overall master-planning for Newton Abbot, Ravenslade were appointed by Teignbridge District Council via Montagu Evans to provide a cost appraisal for the re-development of part of the Bradley Lane Industrial Estate.
The scope of work was to provide a cost option appraisal for residential accommodation on the site. The proposal included 159 new homes with a mix of houses and apartments with frontage onto the River Lemon. The brief also considered the possibility of conversion of existing buildings to provide residential accommodation.
The site had many constraints associated with former industrial uses that had to be considered as part of the appraisal. The cost options considered these constraints and referenced specialist ground investigation and land remediation reports, clearly highlighting the risks to the client.
